- Yes! I've successfully built gcc 2.5.8 as a cross-compiler on the local
- NCR System 3000 multiprocessor box, using the gcc 2.5.8 source from
- prep.ai.mit.ed, and bammi's patches (in gcc258s.zoo on atari.archive).
-
- It runs, and it appears to produce the right assembler output! This is
- going to make my ST much more usable until I can replace it... No more
- waiting for 8 hours while it builds NetHack! :-)
-
- Now, what exactly do I need to complete this cross-compiler? I know I need
- to build at least GAS and GNU ld, but where do I start? bammi's patches
- for gcc 2.5.8 were very easy to apply, and the build was also easy using
- the Sun Makefile.cross.
-
- Thanks!
